Why Shop at Aldi
As one of Europe's leading supermarkets Aldi has a great reputation and continues to offer high-quality items at fantastic prices. They have over 30,000 colleagues in the United Kingdom and have plans to increase this amount to over 35,000 in the next couple of years.
In-store and online you can purchase a wide range of products such as Fresh Food, Food Cupboard Items, Bakery, Drinks, Frozen Foods and More! There's even a good range of Baby and Toddler products, health and beauty, household items, pet care, plants, flowers and a grocery range too. As you can see this makes it ideal for a weekly shop, monthly shop or if you just need to get some of those essential items! While having your food you may also be interested in purchasing wine and spirits too, such as Gun, Whisky, Rum, Brandy, Vodka and so on.
What Payment Methods do Aldi Accept?
In store they accept cards through chip and pin as well as contactless if enabled on customer’s card, this includes Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta Electron or American Express. They also have contactless mobile payments like Apple pay and Android pay. Unfortunately in-store they do not accept cheques. For online orders they accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express - unfortunately they do not currently accept any other forms of payment online, including Maestro, Paypal and BACS.
Does Aldi have Free Delivery?
When ordering online Aldi offers free standard delivery for orders over £20.00 – however this does not include large and high value items. Delivery will be 3-5 working days from the date you place your order.
What Delivery Options to Aldi offer?
If you're ordering from the official Aldi website you can use either their Next Day Delivery, Named Day Delivery, Large Item Delivery or Collect Plus.
Next Day Delivery is available on orders placed before 7pm Monday – Friday. Next day orders placed after 7pm on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. Next day orders placed on a Saturday and Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday.
Named Day delivery gives you the flexibility to choose your own delivery day. Aldi can deliver your items from Monday to Saturday, up to 2 weeks from the date you place your order.
Standard Delivery will be 3-5 working days from the date you place your order. As of March 2020, standard delivery is only £2.95 for orders under £20 and free for orders over £20 – however this excludes large and high value items.
Large Item Delivery can only be delivered through our specialist delivery service. Aldi aim to deliver most items within 1-7 working days.
The CollectPlus service allows you to shop online and have items delivered to a convenient CollectPlus Point near you.
Can Aldi Deliver to My Location?
While some geographical location can restrict some of their delivery services (such as the Scottish Highlands for some items) they deliver to most postal areas in mainland UK. During the checkout section, you can use the Address Lookup field to find your required delivery address, and the available options will be presented to you based on this.
Does Aldi have Same Day Delivery?
As of March 2020, they don't currently offer same-day delivery, if you place your order before 7pm Monday-Friday, you will qualify for delivery on the next working day. Orders placed after 7pm on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. Next day orders placed on a Saturday and Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday. However this is all dependent on location and item availability which will be displayed on the checkout pages when ordering.
